First BFF Getting Married

Yes, you heard that right. T'was my first wedding I attend to, not my relative's or some dad's friend's son/daughter.. LOL aaaannnnnnd im the maid of honor! *maybe because im the shortest among our friends, and they say that the maid of honor must not be higher than the bride??!! still im slightly taller lor.. but passable xD

Anyway, the bride HuiShin was my first roommate in UUM. The first impression when i saw her was... 'WOAH! She's such a doll!!' She is a petite girl with good looks and not to forget proportionate body too. lol no joke and i actually feel quite happy cuz i've got a pretty roommate lah and we share the same interest on make up and stuff. Although there are times that we might have conflicts but hey its normal right? Its all good though :)

Okay, back to the story. It was the first week of semester and 2 of the bridesmaid, Ting and Karmen came from UUM stay over at my place for the wedding preparations cum Janlyn's 21st Birthday celebration *coughs The wedding was on the 16th of September which is also a public holiday so we dont have to skip classes for that. Lucky us! HuiShin rented a house with 6 guest rooms for us to stay over the island where she will be picked up by the groom but all 5 of us slept in 1 room. (much more cozier like that) xD

So we had to reach earlier the day before the wedding cuz there's a video shooting for us, the bridesmaids cuz there's no time to do on the actual day itself. Reached there quite early and changed into our dresses. Did i mention that the bride bought dresses for all of us? She did! :p

And so she left us for the night and lemme just fast forward to the next day aka wedding day.

The bride literally prepared everything for the gate crashing ceremony. She knew we were so busy with uni stuff and all that's why everything was prepared by herself and we feel bad for it :/
On that day itself all of us were so busy and all nervous with the props! We were told that there were around 10 heng dais but there's only 5 of us as bridesmaids! Clearly outnumbered us already.. Soooo scared that we might actually get bullied instead of we bullying them.. Haha but its all good thanks to the bride's brother-in-law for helping us guarding the door.

I just realised there's not much pictures taken during the wedding cuz im super super busy helping the bride and being by her side 'fanning' her.. lol so the above pictures were taken before the grooms and heng dais arrive. I dont have anything with me except for my fan! No worries, you guys can watch the video which i will post later on! Just keep reading :p 

Then as the maid of honor, I must follow the bride to the groom's side but sat on a different car with the groom's best men. *awkward moment* I was literally blushing all the time! goshhh... 

Spent almost another 2hours standing and fanning the bride. Boyyy, no easy job. I was so hungry cuz i didnt ate anything the whole morning and I was just too busy taking care of my 'fanning' job that I've got no time for anything. Not that im complaining or anything but its really an experience for me to stand the whole morning till 2pm with an empty stomach and sweating profusely till the best man came handling me the tissue. *another awkward moment* fml 

My girls were waiting for me outside and after im done with my work we quickly drove home to my place to bathe and slept. All of us were extreeeemeeeeeeeeely tired. 

*Fast forward to wedding dinner. 

the decors were really really pretty!! its like a dream wedding and i know this is exactly how she wanted. feeling soo happy for her!

So, this is the end of it. I wish them stay happily ever after with their soon to be borned baby princess! Cant wait to go visit her and her princess during CNY! :D 

Before I end this post, here's a lil update about me! Currently having exam fever but I seem to be relaxing so much this semester dont know why, maybe cuz I prepared too early and finally able to muster all my confidence level before my exam days. AND I'm having an english paper tomorrow morning at 9am! Its actually my Business Professional Communication paper where we have to write letters and memos during the exam. Hopefully i can ace it. Last paper will be on the 13th! I just cant wait to go home and eat all the pork!!!! haha jk~

21st Birthday with love

Did I tell you guys I had a total of 4 celebrations this year? Lol yeah I started celebrating my birthday on the 1st of September itself, daddy brought us to have Japanese Buffet Dinner at Royal Hotel. Unfortunately, the food was not up to the standard. Daddy brought his staff there for the Ramadan buffet few weeks back and it was good but as for our Japanese buffet its a disappointing one despite the price is quite high. Anyhow, we still enjoyed our time there :)

Most of you guys might think its probably impractical to get a bracelet or anything else other than a key pendant necklace but mummy wanted me to have something which i can wear even im no longer 21. lol so yeah my Pandora bracelet symbolizes my story which begins with my key of 'freedom'! And the rest imma fill it with my dreams. Anyone care to fill it for me? :p

Didn't took much pictures on that day, so lets skip this part and proceed with my birthday celebration with my love! Wasn't actually looking forward for the actual day cuz I've already celebrated my birthday twice before and I thought its just going to be another day out with him so I didn't plan to come back early for it. But, after much considerations I skipped my 2 days of classes and come home. Initially, I planned to have my birthday dinner at Macalister Mansion but after reading 1-2 reviews (there's not much reviews about the place YET) I decided to change my mind. I really like the posh looking place and was ready to indulge myself in the luxurious experience of fine dining! Changed my mind cuz I felt like its pricey and thinking that the boyf have been spending so much lately for me made me guilty :(

He was practically fine with my choice at first but i insisted on changing and just let him surprise me with his plans. AND SO HE DID. I'm not trying to brag about my boyf here but I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole wide world 'my own world' to have him!

First he brought me to Tong Pak Fu to try out the desserts there. I've been wanting to try it since forever but failed to do so twice. Once, they were closed. Second, it was raining sooo heavily and I was reluctant to go. lol

Mango something. Everyone was raving about how good this one tasted but I was surprised that it doesn't taste good at all TO ME. no offence. Maybe the one in KL taste better? 

Strawberry waffle. I kinda like this one though but its like 298535times smaller than the picture illustrated in the menu. HAH same goes to the mango thing! 

Okay, gonna stop ranting about desserts and move on. Next we went to Gurney for movies to kill some time. Its still early for dinner so we watched Resident Evil: Retribution 3D. Not a fan of watching movies in 3D but we have no choice cuz other screening time is either too late or none. Oh well. I spent most of my time covering my eyes throughout the whole movie. heh

Still have no idea where he's bringing me for dinner though until when he's approaching Batu Ferringhi, I thought he was going to bring me to 'The Ship'. He just laughed it off and asked me to keep guessing. I kinda guessed Hard Rock Cafe after that 'in my mind' but I don't wanna tell him cuz paiseh if my guess is wrong again. hahahaha but I WAS RIGHT!

Thanks for everything baby! I had the greatest time in my life. You never fail to put a smile on my face with your never ending surprises. Thank you for making everything possible for me. Words cant describe how thankful and grateful I am to have everyone celebrating one of my most 'important' day(s) with me. I must have done something really good in the past life to deserve all this now :') 

Also my friends that have been spending so much on my birthday. You guys made me feel bad but at the same time I'm more than happy to receive the gift and surprise that everyone had planned just for me! You guys are the best. I dont know how to express my gratitude to everyone of you but to say thank you and still THANK YOU to all of you.

Not to forget everyone who called, inbox, message, viber, line or anything me. You guys made my day! Thank you again people. I love each and one of you! :D

21st Pre-birthday celebration

Hello!!! It's September aka my birthday month! Aaaannnd I sorta celebrated my birthday for the whole month. I know I sounded like a spoiled brat but don't blame me, I'm just too lucky and blessed to have awesome people around me who gave me such great memorable 21st birthday. Say real one, its better than how i envisioned it to be. I'm truly happy and glad to have everyone *literally* celebrating my special day with me!

At first i thought of organizing a party for my birthday but my date kinda clashed with my friend's wedding day so yeah no party. Changed to dinner gathering instead. That's why I wasn't hoping for anything big as we (my friends and I) were all busy preparing for the wedding. Two of my uni girlfriends came over to my place for few nights stay and so i took the responsibility to bring them around for shopping and what nots! So I decided to have my birthday dinner at Maricosa, Straits Quay Penang. I was kinda sad and grumpy cuz my friend XueFen couldn't make it due to some stuff but nvm that.

Wanted to try this place out cuz I kinda fancy the Hawaiian themed decorations! lol

Even the chairs and ceiling fans look so cutee!  

Many interesting things are sold there too.

Karmun and Ting

we ordered Strawberry Margarita. It has the 'Slurpee' texture from 7-11, different from what I used to try before.

Tomato Bruschetta 

Fettuccini Ala Carbonara- I really like the rich and creamy white sauce.

Salmon and Venus Clam Tajine- Both salmon and clams are fresh. Bouillabaisse stock kinda spicy but its all good! 

All Tajine courses are served with either 2 bowls of pearl rice or 4 pieces of house bread :)

 Overall i think the food was oh-kay. I find the desserts are all overpriced. Other main courses are reasonably priced. After our dinner, we had a walk outside enjoying the sea breeze and night view. We took a couple of pictures as well! :D

oh ya, Karmun is my product of the day. Her make up and clothings are all mine! LOL

 Next stop, to The Library to meet up with XueFen. It was my first time there! ;p

Ground floor is kinda pack and so we were seated on the first floor. I personally preferred that cuz its not so stuffy and smoky compared to the ground floor.

 So here comes the climax. While we were just chilling around and chatting, XueFen suddenly opt to have my camera. I thought she wanted to snap a picture with me but she INSIST on holding my camera herself. I was kinda shocked but wasn't thinking anything much so I just gave her my camera. After a few minutes a waiter came with a cake and i started blushing. FML face immediately turned red as if I was sosososososo drunk! Then the band made a huge announcement and sang the birthday song for me which made me even redder. wtf seriously I think I cannot digest so many surprises at one time!

Finally, I would really like to thank my girlfriends for planning this for me. Seriously, never thought that they would come up with a surprise but it turned out the other way round which made me really really happy and touched. What more can I ask for when I can have such awesome people to celebrate my birthday with me!
 I guess i'll stop now cuz I might start getting all emotional later LOL. Will continue another birthday celebration soon in another post so stay tuned!
